I adore pugs so much and am so happy to see someone out there looking after them! They are the cutest, sweetest breed of dog ever and I cant wait for my partner and I to get one in 2010!

I am so happy to see wonderful people like you taking in these little darlings and giving them the loving home they so deserve. We have had two pugs, both sadly gone now. They were wee treasures and loved to bits. A big thankyou for your dedication, time and love. Well Done.

Hi I am Calida I'm 22 and love all dogs but manily pugs. Once my partner and I have got our own home we are looking to buy a pug I like the older dog but would rather have a youger one so my friend and I can train it! Do you think you contact me with these details:

How much they cost?
There over all condtion and health
How they are with new people?
And the diet you give them.

I would say in the next 2-3 years we will have our own home!

Thanks so much and keep up the great work smile

Love Calida and Zachary

After going thru "Meet The Pugs", I found it very informing...after being brought up around 2 pugs:oobee and bess, who were very much loved by us all, they led happy lives, until their passing.
our pugs neva had any bad problems i.e: skin needed cleaning around the nose. There must be alot of in-breeding going on.

Greetings, we are looking for a male pug puppy to love and cherish. Have spoken with Karen Bell also and she has suggested we communicate with you. A little female is very welcome if a male is not available. Health issues are not a problem. We are a professional couple with no children and live on the North Shore Auckland. 09-441-7381, 027-232-0282

Hello from the US! Thanks so much for what you do, every pug should have a loving home. I have two pugs both almost 9 years old. One has a multitude of health problems including epilepsy and the other thankfully is pretty healthy. Pugs are the best dogs, I know in the future that I will definitely adopt from rescue.

I have a 2 year old pug named Wrinkles who I absolutely adore. He is my first and definitely not my last pug. They are such a wonderful, pleasent breed of dog, and should be treated like one of the family. I think its awesome what you guys do for unfortunate pugs, how people can mistreat them I do not know. Keep up the good work!!

I have 2 beautiful pugs - they are number 7 and 8 in a long line of much loved dogs. I live in Auckland in a very pug friendly house with a large secure garden. If you have a pug which needs a home, please email me for consideration. I am well aware of the needs of this breed eg have not long ago had my female pug's soft palate shortened. Thanks Janet

My partner Mike and I visited Brenda and her gorgeous pugs over the weekend. It was so great to see how much loving and caring the rescue pugs are getting and I fell in love with each and every one of them (18 in total). Thank goodness for Brenda and her good kind heart. big grin I lost my black pug Suki in April to cancersad, she was spoiled rotten and why not ! Thank you Brenda for showing us there is someone out there who truly cares after so many people don't. Suzanne.

Here's a 'pat on the back' for you and all the wonderful, caring work you do for these super little dogs. We are Kiwis living in the Middle East and miss our 9yr old Kauri Valley pug terribly (far too hot for him here). He resides with my dad in NZ. Apparently puggy isn't missing us!! Keep up the terrific work.

Hi Brenda.
So sorry I havent been in touch. Been a hard few months....
I had a terrible xmas. On Dec 20th I found my beloved wee Cruisey Boy had died in his sleep. He was 11 and a half, but he was in great nick and I was totally not expecting it. He had had a lovely day previously down at the beach with me. He is buried at my family farm, under the cherry tree.
I still cant bear to see his photos....its so quiet without him snuffling at my door each morning....
Ive taken on a full time job (up to 60 hours a week), so am busy and time will heal. Amazing how a wee dog can get into your heart. He was awsome.
I hope to get another dog oneday, but not now. Will keep in touch with you. Got a loan of a computer for a couple of weeks, so if you want to email me thatd be great.
Keep up the good work.
Kind regards, Carolyn.

I would like to adopt a Pug to a loving and responsible home. I am a registered "responsible" dog owner (Rodney County ,Waitakere City and Papakura District Council) I would like a dog to replace darling Stanley who crossed over the Bridge after 14 years of loving memories and Lucy (his companion) is bereft without her mate to join her in adventures. Can anyone help?

My pug Tala has just turned 10yrs old. I have been one of the lucky ones and have not had any health issues with my girl. She is very much part of the family going almost everywhere with us. The times that we can't take her she goes to a friends where all her needs are met, including staying inside the house and not out in a cold dusty kennel

Hi Pug Rescue,
I've just been looking around the pug sites as I do every month almost! I wasn't aware there was a NZ pug rescue and I think this is great. We have an almost 2 year old pug, extremely spoiled and well loved! We live in ChCh and I am disappointed that there is no pug club down here - I know there is a few pugs around down here, would be great if someone started one up, our wee man loves socialising with other dogs, especially other pugs!! I was also wondering if pug rescue happens nationwide or if its just north island? Keep up the good work!

I will be moving to New Zealand in early Feb 2008 with my three pugs from Austin, Texas, USA. I look forward to helping the Pug Club and Rescue however I can.

If anyone has experience with moving their pugs from overseas into the 30 day quarantine, I would love to hear from. I am so worried about the well being of my pugs during the relocation/quarantine process.

Hello Lesa, I have no means of contacting you. If you hit the email link on the home page, you can reach me.

Hi Troy, Many thanks for visiting & signing. Always great to hear from other Pug fanatics. Hey, your boss is correct if he talks about NZ in a nice way. Gods own country here, even if we have to pick up Puggy pieces just like you do.
Best Wishes, Brenda.
